Pursuant to the Joint Monitor Council's determination that §15.5.a(1) applies to the certified corridor merger petition and the certified whole-Territory statehood petition, the Civic Consul convenes a Territory Convention composed of the Assembly members representing districts within Korda Territory, numbering thirty-three delegates, to determine a proposed resolution addressing both petitions together.
The Convention's first session is set for Year 13, Month 12, Day 9, at Verentum. The ninety-day period established under §15.5.a(3) for the Convention to produce a proposed resolution runs from that date, not from the date of this notice.
This Constitution does not prescribe the Convention's terms. Any resolution the Convention produces must be ratified by referendum of the eligible voters it affects and proceeds under the applicable process of §15.2 or §15.4, including any approval, audit, or ratification steps those sections otherwise require. Where no resolution is produced within the ninety-day period, both petitions lapse together and the Territory continues undivided; neither petition may be reinitiated under substantially the same geographic scope for three years.
The Office of the Civic Consul issued the following statement accompanying this notice: "The Constitution requires this Convention to convene, and it is convened. What the delegates decide is theirs to decide."
Filed to the NRS as required. Further notice will be filed upon the Convention's first session.
End of record.
