The Map Is Not Finished
What is drawn here is what the Republic has had reason to name. There are ocean routes west of Marisvia that appear on no chart in Verentum, country beyond the far side of Caldris that Torenthian maps mark only as a direction, and land north of the frontier that the Alps have kept nobody's business but its own.
The Republic's own law is settled and exacting — every provision of the Constitution holds or it does not. The world outside its borders is under no such obligation. It is simply the part of the map nobody has needed yet.
