The Legislature has approved a National Trust designation request for the Argent Ridge parcel by 2/3 vote of both chambers, as required under §18.4. The request is forwarded to Varek and Norvane, both host States, for consent. Designation does not take effect until consent is received from both.

Varek has not yet responded. Norvane has not yet responded. No statutory deadline governs the timing of a host State's consent decision under §18.4.

This request is independent of the pending §13.1 repeal petition affecting the underlying disposal statute. Neither proceeding affects the other's status.

The Legislature will file further notice upon receipt of either State's response.
