The Northern Arrival Housing Capacity Act (introduced as NRS-Y13-0757) has passed both chambers. The Assembly adopted the bill as reported by the Territories and Fiscal Affairs Committee, 288 to 201. The Senate approved it without amendment by a majority of its full seated membership. The bill is ordinary legislation and was not designated emergency legislation at final passage.

As passed, the Act (1) authorizes capital grants to receiving States for permanent housing; (2) authorizes operating support for reception capacity; and (3) sets standards for siting temporary housing financed under the Act. Section 3(c) permits such housing on federally held parcels within the northern arrival corridor, "including parcels within or adjoining tracts conveyed by statute for residential development."

The bill is presented to both Consuls for concurrent review under §2.7. The final text is published with this record.
