The Harren Harbor Authority will move its two afternoon ferry departures forward by forty minutes through the end of Month 12, the agency announced Thursday, after tracking three consecutive years of squall activity arriving reliably in the same early-afternoon window.

Morning and evening sailings are unaffected. The change applies only to the 1:40 and 3:10 crossings, which will now depart at 1:00 and 2:30. Harbor staff said the adjustment keeps both crossings ahead of the pressure drop that has preceded visible squall lines in each of the last three seasons.

"We're not predicting weather," a harbor spokesperson said. "We're avoiding a pattern. Those aren't the same claim, and we'd rather move a timetable than explain a delay."

Printed schedules at the Casten terminal will be updated by the weekend. Ticket holders with existing afternoon bookings will be rebooked automatically onto the adjusted times; the Authority said fares are unaffected.

The adjusted schedule will be reviewed at the start of Month 1, alongside the harbor's ordinary seasonal timetable planning.
